Dr. Amanda Chavez recently joined STEP Pediatrics in January 2020. She is originally from El Paso, Texas and new to the Woodlands area. Dr. Chavez received her B.S. in Biology at St. Mary’s University in San Antonio, Texas. She attended The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio (UTHSCSA) for medical school and completed her pediatric residency at UT Health San Antonio. She is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics.
On her free time, she loves to travel, spend time with family and friends and explore new places to eat. She is always open to new restaurant suggestions. Like Dr. Purcell, Dr. Kozak and Dr. Alam, Dr. Chavez also doesn’t care for yard work but this is not an issue as she doesn’t have a yard yet.
