Dr. Wilson attended St. John’s High School in Houston, TX which is where her interest in becoming a doctor started. Attending Syracuse University for college she majored in Honors Biology. She also volunteered in the toy room for hospitalized kids. After college, Dr Wilson moved to NYC to do research for Columbia University as well as to enjoy all the wonderful people, food, and culture there. After enjoying the big city life, she returned to Galveston, TX where she attended UTMB for medical school. She made great friends there and loved spending time on the beach, enjoying the seafood, and surprisingly good pho soup. She moved to Cincinnati for her Pediatrics residency where she trained at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. Residency taught me not only the skills to be a competent and compassionate clinician, but the joy of the doctor patient relationship. It was a wonderful experience, but it is good to be back home!
Dr. Wilson is a strong advocate for breastfeeding, kindergarten readiness, mental health, and preventative medicine. She believes all children are unique but they all need proper nutrition, nurturing, education, and to be instilled with confidence to succeed. She encourages patients and families to be proactive, patient, and to look toward the positive for their medical and social circumstances.
Dr. Wilson’s hobbies include traveling, running, cooking, and photography (ultra beginner). Her goal is to have gorgeous pictures from her travels, but that is a work in progress! She has never mowed a yard, but is willing to do about 3-5 mins of raking leaves if necessary.
